 A LIFETIME OF LEARNING BEGINS

The Montessori education Stage marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning. We firmly believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life, accompanied by the necessary support to unlock their full potential. During the montessori years, children undergo rapid development, and the experiences they encounter from birth to age six significantly influence their future opportunities. At Modern Language School, we recognize the paramount importance of both effective parenting and high-quality early learning in laying the groundwork for children to flourish and excel in life. Our commitment is to empower your child to become a successful learner, a self-assured individual, an open-minded and tolerant person, and a responsible and contributing citizen.

 OUR SETTINg

The learning spaces for our Montessori Years are designed to be secure, welcoming, and comforting. Both indoors and outdoors, these areas are meticulously adorned, maintaining cleanliness and safety while exuding inspiration. Many parents have likened our learning environment to a home away from home, and such praise fills us with immense pride.

TEACHER STUDENT RATIO

The significant advantages of a smaller student-to-teacher ratio are most pronounced in Montessori Year education. Even as students progress towards graduation and their class sizes may grow, the benefits they derive from smaller class sizes during their Montessori education will continue to influence them. With this consideration in mind, we maintain the following teacher-to-student ratios:

  • Age: 2.5-3.5 Years → 1 teacher for every 4 students
  • Age: 3.5-4.5 Years → 1 teacher for every 8 students
  • Age: 4.5-5.5 Years → 1 teacher for every 12 students

AGE GROUPS

At Modern Language School, our Montessori program is designed for children between 2.5 to 5.5 years of age.

The age groups for each level are as follows:

  • Play Group: 2.5 Years
  • Nursery: 3.5 Years
  • Prep: 5.5 Years

CURRICULUM

In the Montessori Years, we aim to ignite and nurture each child’s innate capacity to learn. Our approach revolves around four guiding principles:

  1. Each child is unique, continuously learning, and possesses the potential to be resilient, capable, confident, and self-assured.
  2. Positive relationships foster children’s strength and independence, helping them become strong and independent learners.
  3. Enabling environments play a vital role in children’s learning and development. Tailored experiences cater to individual needs, while a strong partnership between the school and parents enhances the learning journey.
  4. Children develop and learn in diverse ways and at their own pace, respecting their individual progress and styles of learning.

AREAS OF LEARNING

In the Montessori years, well-planned play is a vital means through which children learn with enjoyment and face challenges.

Children aged two, three, four, and five are constantly encountering new experiences and striving to comprehend them, allowing them to expand their skills, boost their confidence, and build upon their existing knowledge. Children deepen their understanding through play, communication, observation, questioning, experimentation, and interaction with adults and peers.

We meticulously design high-quality learning experiences that take into account the unique needs and achievements of each child.

Our program is shaped by seven interconnected areas of learning and development. All areas are equally important. However, three prime areas hold particular significance as they ignite children’s curiosity, enthusiasm for learning, and ability to thrive. These prime areas are:

  1. Communication and Language
  2. Physical Development
  3. Personal, Social, and Emotional Development

In addition, we provide support in four specific areas that bolster and apply the above three prime areas. These distinctive areas are:

  1. Literacy
  2. Mathematics
  3. Understanding the World
  4. Expressive Arts
